Thoroton House
Thoroton House is named after the antiquary Dr. Robert Thoroton, who was born 4th October 1623, and died 21st November 1678.
He belonged to an old Nottinghamshire family, which took its name from Thoroton, near Newark. He was the author of Nottinghamshire's first and greatest county history, 'The Antiquities of Nottinghamshire published in 1677.
Each house encompasses three tutor groups in each year group and is led by student House Captains and by a House Coordinator.
Through the course of the year all houses will compete for both pride and rewards in a huge range of activities, from interhouse sports competitions and cross-curricular challenges through to attendance and achievement tables.

Trent House
Trent House is named after the Lord Trent of Nottingham, the title given to Jesse Boot, who was born in Hockley, Nottingham in 1850, and died in 1931.
Founder of the Nottinghamshire based pharmaceutical company Boots, he was proud of his native Nottingham, and contributed to schemes for the welfare of the city and its inhabitants.
