Throughout January and February, the Post 16 Hospitality groups have been creating their own themed lunches. Working as a team, the Professional Chef group have prepared the food whilst the Pub Chef Operations students have been busy cooking and serving the dishes.
With the aim of widening their culinary skills and food knowledge, students have had to choose a theme, market it, and decorate the café accordingly, whilst also producing their chosen dishes. Some of the themes put forward have included Mexican, Latin American, Japanese, British and French, so a real challenge in terms of cooking techniques and presentation! Judging by how busy the Café has been during the period, it looks like the idea has been a massive success and we look forward to seeing what they come up with next!
