Moving Visit to Beth Shalom

Moving Visit to Beth Shalom

In the week following Remembrance Sunday, a group of our Level 2 Uniformed Services students paid a moving visit to The Beth Shalom Holocaust Centre in Laxton, near Newark.  They were amongst the first visitors in the country to experience the Centre’s 3D interactive presentation by Holocaust survivor Steven Frank; they also visited the permanent exhibition, and took part in an act of remembrance for the 1.5 million Jewish children killed during the Holocaust.

The students gained much from the visit, and they will now reflect upon their learning and participate in class discussions around themes of labelling, stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination.
